Hello! I decided that since I pretty much never update my blog on my personal website, I will start a blog that is a little more easy to update. Let me explain: our website is set up on our mac and only our mac. It's cool, and it's really easy to create, but it's a little inconvenient when most of my computer time does not take place on the mac. (Of course what computer am I writing this on? The mac!)
Anyway, I just wanted my first post to explain a few things about me to any readers who come along for the ride. First of all, I'm boring. If you want to stop reading right there, I'll understand. Really, it's cool. Seriously. I won't be offended. In fact, I'll never know. I don't have much to write about. That's probably why every other attempt at blogging or journaling has completely failed. But we'll give this a shot and see how it turns out. My sister is an avid blogger, and I'm totally jealous of her crazy blogging skizills. I've always wanted to be a blogger. Perhaps you, my new reader, will be able to witness me realize my dream of becoming the ultimate blogger! Someday I will stand with my head held high, gold medal around my neck, crowds cheering as they play the national anthem... I've been watching WAY too much of the Oympics this year.
So moving along here... (I'm very wordy, so prepare for super-long blog posts about nothing. I'd like to think that my rambling is a little amusing, but I'm not going to kid myself.) I chose the title "Kate's Buck Blog" for many reasons. The biggest one is that I really couldn't think of anything to call it that wasn't already taken. And then I had a flashback to this past season of "So You Think You Can Dance" - best season EVER - and I decided that my blog would be "buck." If you're wondering what that means, you're not totally behind on your slang terms. I really didn't know either. The choreographer, Lil C, who used the term on the show, defined "buck" as "when internal artistry meets physical expression." Now obviously you won't be able to see my physical movements, but I hope that my blog will give you some insight into my internal artistry through my written expressions.
