Oh no, she didn't!

So yesterday my mother confessed to doing something evil. The thought of my mother doing something evil is probably shocking to a lot of people. Admittedly, I was surprised as well.

Last night was a little hectic. My car would not start yesterday morning, so mom picked up me & the Skizz and dropped me off at my dad's car so that I could drive to work. After work I was to give my little bro a haircut at Mom & Dad's. Michael picked up me & Skye from Mom's house. We went home, shoveled dinner into our mouths, and ran outside to jump my car. Thankfully, the battery was the only problem. (Tonight I will purchase a new one.) Anyway, Skye was not happy about the whole battery ordeal. It completely threw off her whole day. That's probably why my mother did the evil thing that she did. It was simply out of desperation from dealing with a cranky Skizz all day. I can relate to that, but still... no excuses!

So whilst I was cutting Ted's hair in the bathroom, I overheard my mom talking to Michael about what Skye did during the day. And out came the confession: She let my child watch Barney. *ominous scream* There are some pretty low things that a grandparent can do to get revenge on their children, but sitting my child in front of a television blaring with Barney is probably about the lowest of the low. And here's the worst part: Mom claims that Skye ENJOYED it! NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO! My worst fears are unfolding before me.

I needed a chance to cool down. Whew! Thankfully Skye is still very young - too young to repeat the annoying choruses that Barney sings with his little friends. I have to stop the madness now. There are shows that I will tolerate, but Barney is not one of them.

(On a serious note, my mother is an excellent grandmother, and I know that she would never do anything that would hurt my child. She is a wonderful mother, and I am honored that she would agree to spend so much of her precious time with my little "angel.)
